Gated On-Demand Page

An on-demand page setting that requires visitors to fill out a form before accessing content. Users entering with their unique magic link bypass the form. Example: The team set their webinar’s replay as a Gated On-Demand Page to capture leads before showing the recording.

GDPR Protected Country

A country or region covered by the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which mandates higher standards for data privacy and consent. Goldcast treats registrants from GDPR-protected countries with special care – for instance, you might enable extra consent steps or opt-in fields for those users. In practice, this usually refers to EU member countries (and similar jurisdictions) where attendee data cannot be collected without explicit permission.
Example: If a registrant selects France as their country (France being a GDPR-protected country), the registration process can be set up to display an opt-in consent checkbox, ensuring compliance with EU data laws.

Goldcast Analytics

The analytics dashboard in Goldcast that tracks attendee engagement and event performance metrics. It provides insights like how long viewers watched a video or which sessions they interacted with, helping organizers measure success and engagement. For example, after an event, organizers check Goldcast Analytics to see viewership drop-off rates and audience participation in polls and Q&A.

Goldcast Managed Package

The packaged bundle of components that Goldcast provides for integration with Salesforce. Installing the Goldcast managed package in your Salesforce org sets up the custom objects (Goldcast Events, Activities, Event Registrations), pre-built reports, and any Apex/Lightning components needed for the Goldcast integration. At the Org level integration setup, admins install Goldcast’s managed package and assign necessary permissions. Once the managed package is installed, Salesforce users have access to features like 13 pre-built Goldcast reports (covering registrations, engagement, and so on) to analyze event data within Salesforce.

Goldcast Marketplace

The hub within Goldcast Studio where users can browse, enable, or install third-party integration apps. The Goldcast Marketplace lists available connectors (for example, Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Webhooks) and manages the installation or removal of integrations for your organization’s account.
Example: To connect Salesforce to Goldcast, an admin navigates to the Goldcast Marketplace, finds the Salesforce integration tile, and clicks “Connect App” to install and authorize the integration.

Goldcast Studio

The web-based platform interface for organizers to create, configure, and manage their events. Goldcast Studio is where you set up event details (agenda, speakers, branding, and so on), manage registrations, and control the live event (backstage). Users with organizer roles (for example, Org Admin or Team Admin) log into Goldcast Studio to run events, and they can moderate, go backstage, or attend sessions in an organizer capacity. Example: As an organizer, I logged into Goldcast Studio to build the event agenda, invite presenters, and during the live event, I used the Studio’s backstage controls to start and pause the broadcast.
