Goldcast is a web-based platform and hence your internet and network connection plays a key role in determining the user experience.
If you are facing any issues while joining a Goldcast event or using platform functionalities such as microphone, camera, chat, polls or Q&A, the reason might be due to your network firewall settings or virtual proxy network (VPN).
Generally, Goldcast does not recommend users to access Goldcast via VPNs or with firewalls turned on because multiple web based tools do not function well with VPNs/firewalls.
We do understand that companies may prefer to route their network traffic through firewall/VPNs for privacy and security reasons. However, in order to use the platform functionality fully, we do need some traffic to be able to pass through the company's firewall/VPNs.
In this article below, we have listed out the domains and ports which need to be whitelisted within the network firewall/VPN rule set so that you can ensure the Goldcast functionalities work seamlessly.
