If you wish to share a prerecorded video as a speaker or presenter at a Goldcast event, we strongly recommend that you reach out to your event organizer before the event with the video file or URL. The organizer uploads the video directly into Goldcast library, and then adds the video to the required track in an event, and then it appears in your toolbar with a tab labeled “Media”. You’ll then be able to seamlessly switch between your own live video and the prerecorded video feed.
We strongly recommend doing it this way – rather than screensharing a live video – to prevent lag and provide your audience with better audio quality.
Play video from the Event Media tab
Speakers play the videos for the audience/attendees from the the Media tab.
To play a video:
- Navigate to the Event page > Media tab > Videos subtab. This subtab displays the list of videos added to the event.
- Choose and click the video you want to play and you will be moved out of the stage while the video is being played.
- Click the STOP VIDEO button once the video is finished or whenever you want to pause. You will be moved back to the Stage once the video is stopped, and your audience can now hear and see you.
