On-Demand Email
An automated email sent to someone who accesses event content after the live event has ended (in on-demand mode). In Goldcast, when an event is over and set to on-demand, viewers can often watch the recording by providing their information on the on-demand page. Upon submitting their details, the platform immediately sends them an on-demand email, which typically contains a link to view the content or confirms their access. This ensures even late viewers or those watching recordings get a confirmation and link via email.
On-Demand Event
A past event whose recorded content is available for attendees to watch at their convenience. In a series, on-demand events are those that have already occurred (now in on-demand mode) and can be listed on the series registration page for new sign-ups to view the recordings.
On-Demand Mode
The state of a Goldcast event after its live sessions have ended, when the event content (recordings) is available for on-demand viewing. In on-demand mode, new registrants can still sign up to watch the event replay. Goldcast adjusts certain behaviors in this mode – for example, the registration confirmation email toggle is automatically turned off for webinars once they go on-demand (to avoid sending standard live-event confirmation emails). Example: Once a webinar is completed and switched to on-demand mode, attendees who register late (to watch the recording) will be able to access the content via the on-demand page and receive on-demand emails, but they won’t trigger live-session emails like reminders.
On-Demand Page (Standalone)
A standalone page for post-event content that becomes available once a Goldcast event is over (for smart webinars and certain other event types). This page allows attendees (or even new visitors) to watch recorded sessions and view curated content without needing to navigate through the original event hub. Unlike the live event hub page, the on-demand page can be accessed directly – often via a shared URL – and does not require using the emailed magic link for entry. Organizers can set the on-demand page to be gated (visitors must register or log in to view content) or ungated (content is open to all visitors without form submission).
On-Demand Session
A session that is pre-recorded and not broadcast live, which attendees can watch at their convenience. An On-Demand session might be made available after a live event or as content in an event that users can play at any time (with no live audience interaction). This differs from a live session in that it’s essentially a recorded video playback.
Note: Lite Mode is not needed or available for on-demand sessions since they are not live streams.
Example: We offered the product demo as an On-Demand Session in the event – attendees could view that video anytime during the conference, instead of it being a scheduled live presentation.
On/Off Stage
An organizer’s ability to move speakers between backstage and the live stage. Speakers on stage are visible and audible to attendees, while those off stage remain hidden.
Organizer
The Goldcast user role for the event creator or host who has administrative control over an event. An organizer can set up events, configure settings, invite other roles, and generally has full privileges in Goldcast Studio. Because organizers run the show, Goldcast recommends they use the Chrome browser for the best experience when managing or broadcasting an event. In practice, the organizer is responsible for planning the event and often moderating or producing the live session.
Organization Admin (Org Admin)
An Organization Admin is the highest-level administrator role in Goldcast, with full access to all teams and content in the organization’s account. This role can view and manage every event, page, series, template, asset, and integration across all team workspaces. Example: As an Organization Admin, Priya can edit any event (regardless of team), create organization-wide templates, and configure integrations for the entire company’s Goldcast account.
