The following are the steps to create a certificate design:

1. In Goldcast Studio, go to Settings.

2. Open Certificates.
3. In the Designs area, select the option to create a new design.
4. Build your certificate design. The builder includes several tabs on the left side of the screen:
   1. When the Certificate Builder opens, start by choosing the paper size for the certificate. You can select US Letter or A4 from the top-left corner.
      
      
       
   2. Templates – Start from a blank layout or an available template.
   3. Images – Upload images and add built-in visual assets, such as award badges and decorative graphics.
       
   4. Elements – Add shapes, borders, lines, and other visual elements. 
      
   5. Text – Add a heading, subheading, body text, or caption.
      
   6. Attributes – Add dynamic placeholders, such as attendee name, event name, date, certificate ID, or organization, that Goldcast replaces automatically when the certificate is generated.
      
   7. Layers – Manage the stacking order of items on the canvas.
      
      Use the center canvas to arrange your certificate content. When you select an item on the canvas, use the Properties panel on the right to update settings such as canvas color, position, width and height, rotation, opacity, color, stroke, stroke width, and font style and alignment.
   8. You can also use the top controls to undo or redo changes, import an existing design, or export the current layout.
5. Name the design.

6. Save the design.
