Account Settings

The configuration section where users manage their profile details, including name, title, and password. Email addresses cannot be changed directly; changes require contacting support.

Active Speaker Reframe

Active Speaker Reframe is a feature that automatically adjusts the video frame to keep the current speaker centered and in focus. This helps create a polished look and ensures that viewers always see the speaker clearly, even when multiple participants are on screen.

Add-On (Content Seats)

An optional purchase that grants additional user licenses restricted to Content Lab access only. These allow contractors or team members to create and edit content in Content Lab without full platform privileges.

Agenda

A schedule of sessions, breaks, and activities within an event. Agendas help organizers plan the flow of content across single-session, multi-session, hybrid, and field events. In Field Events, agendas can be created under Program → Agenda tab to organize multiple live sessions.

AI-Generated Clip

An automatically created highlight clip. Content Lab’s AI automatically generates short clips as soon as you upload a video, populating the Clips section with initial suggestions. The number of AI clips is dynamic based on video length, and serves as a starting point for editing.

AI Search

A feature in Goldcast’s Content Lab that automatically scans your video library to quickly find or generate relevant content (video clips, social posts, blog drafts) based on a search term. It streamlines the process of repurposing event recordings into new assets. Example: After a webinar, we used AI Search to quickly extract key highlights and generate a blog post from the recording.

Alert Center

A notification hub in Goldcast Studio that displays important warnings or issues related to your events and series.

Annotations

User-added notes, highlights, or markers on video timelines to emphasize key sections during clip editing.

Anonymous Polling

A poll setting where attendee responses are collected without names attached. Useful for sensitive feedback or quick pulse checks.

API Token (Goldcast API)

A unique key generated in Goldcast Studio that authenticates requests to the Goldcast API. It functions like an OAuth access token, allowing third-party applications to securely interact with Goldcast.
Example: An admin creates an API Token and uses it in a marketing automation tool so it can pull attendee data from Goldcast events via API.

Aspect Ratio and Layout

Aspect ratio refers to the shape and dimensions of a video, such as square, portrait, or landscape. Layout determines how elements like captions or speaker focus appear within that frame, ensuring the video is optimized for different platforms.

Attendee

An event participant who joins to watch or engage with content. Attendees are the audience members of a Goldcast event (as opposed to organizers or speakers) and can join using any supported web browser. In Goldcast, attendees have limited permissions compared to organizers (for example, they cannot control the stage or settings).

Attendee Mode

A feature that lets an organizer switch their view to see the event as an attendee would while remaining backstage. It allows the organizer to experience the live event exactly as the audience does (useful for testing the attendee experience). Example: During rehearsal, the producer enabled Attendee Mode to verify what viewers would see on the event page.

Audiogram

A short, shareable audio clip with visual elements (like waveform animations) generated from a longer audio file. In Goldcast’s Content Lab, you can convert lengthy audio (for example, podcasts) into snackable audiograms for quick sharing on social media.

Automatic Redirection

An event setting where attendees are moved to the next scheduled session automatically after one ends. Example: After a keynote, users are redirected to the breakout session without clicking.

Audience Q&A

A live engagement feature where attendees can submit questions during the event. Organizers and moderators can manage visibility (e.g., mark answered, dismiss, or feature questions) to guide the flow of discussion.

Avatar Upload

Avatar upload allows you to add a profile image for each speaker. These images can be displayed in clips, especially in audiograms, to make content more personalized and branded.
