Content Lab: Create Multimodal Social Posts From Your Video

Learn how to transform your long-form videos into engaging social media posts with text + video.

With Content Lab, you can create engaging multimodal social media posts that combine various media types, such as text and video, within a single post. By default, Content Lab automatically generates three social posts for each video you upload. You can find these posts under the Social tab in Content Lab. In this article, we will guide you through the process of creating and downloading social posts in Content Lab.

How to create multimodal social posts

  1. Open Content Lab and select the video you want to work with.
  2. Click Social on the left side menu.
  3. Content Lab automatically generates social posts for every video you upload. These serve as a starting point and are listed on the left panel. You can edit and use them as you like.
  4. To create a new social post, click the Generate Social Post button at the bottom of the page.

  5. Fine-tune the results by providing the following inputs:
    • The tone of Voice: Select your preferred tone from available options, such as professional, helpful, conversational, informative, friendly, and playful, to create content that matches your brand’s voice.
    • Length: Choose the desired text length:
      • Short: 100 to 150 words
      • Medium: 200 to 300 words
      • Long: 350 to 450 words
    • Prompt: You can use the default prompt or tailor it to match your requirements. Make the prompts detailed and specific to get the best results.
  6. Hit Generate.

  7. The generated post includes a text and video component.
  8. Use the inline text editor to edit the text portions. Add, remove, or replace text as required. You can also use shortcut keys to Bold (Ctrl + B), Italicize (Ctrl + I), and Underline (Ctrl + U) to format the text.
  9. Content Lab automatically includes a relevant video clip in your social post. Use the icons on the right to edit, download, replace, regenerate, or delete this clip.

Pro Tip: Fine-tune the prompt to create customized social posts for specific channels like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc. You can also mention hashtags or keywords to include in the post.
