Using the Teleprompter in Events

Learn how to effectively use a teleprompter in an event to enhance performance and delivery.

Introduction

The Teleprompter (also called Prompter) is a built-in tool that helps speakers stay on message during live events and recording sessions. Instead of relying on external notes or off-screen devices, you can paste your script directly into the platform and follow along smoothly, with full control over how it appears.

Key Benefits

  • Stay on script – Present with confidence by keeping your talking points directly in front of you.
  • Avoid disruptions – Minimize off-camera glances or missed cues.
  • Personalized use – Each presenter manages their own script and settings without impacting others.

Step-by-Step Guide for Using the Teleprompter

Follow these steps to set up and use the Teleprompter for your events:

  1. Click Prompter icon in the Event App's bottom bar. The Teleprompter opens as an in-app overlay window by default.
  1. Copy your talking points and paste them into the text field.
  2. Customize the Teleprompter for comfortable reading:
  1. Font size – enlarge or shrink text.
  2. Scroll speed – match your natural speaking pace.
  3. Cue line – toggle to track your eye line.
  4. Theme – switch between Light or Dark mode.
  5. Drag the panel to any corner of your screen and resize it to fit your setup. Your placement is saved for the session.
  6. Closing the Prompter window – To close the Teleprompter, simply click the × icon in the top-right corner of the Prompter window.

Note: Your Teleprompter notes are automatically saved. When you reopen the Teleprompter in the same session, your notes will reappear—no need to re-paste.

  1. Start or pause scrolling with the play button or spacebar.

For More Flexibility

You can switch to Pop-out mode, which opens the Teleprompter in a separate browser window that stays visible even while screen sharing.
