Overview
Goldcast allows forms from the Form Library to be added to Video Blocks, enabling admins to collect user-specific data on video engagement. This feature helps track how long users watch videos and provides insights via Goldcast Analytics.
Prerequisites
Forms must be stored in the Goldcast Form Library.
Only Goldcast forms can be used (HubSpot and Marketo forms are not supported).
Forms can only be applied at the block level, not the page level or the individual video level.
Step-by-step instructions
Step #1: Navigate to the Video Block
Open the Goldcast event editor.
Locate the Video Block where you want to add a form.
Step #2: Select a Form from the Library
Click on Form Settings.
Choose an existing form from the Form Library.
Apply the selected form to the Video Block.
Step #3: Configure Form Behavior
When a user clicks on a video inside a block with a form, the form will pop up over the video player.
The user must fill in the form before accessing any video in that block.
Once the form is completed, the user can watch any video in that block without needing to fill it out again.
Each Video Block can have a different form or reuse the same form.
Step #4: Manage Forms Across Multiple Blocks
If two different blocks use the same smart registration form, the user only needs to fill out the form once per page.
If the Video Hub Page is embedded, the form will still display before video access is granted.
Step #5: View User Data
User engagement and form submission data can be viewed in Goldcast Analytics.
In the future, this data will be available for integration with external platforms.
Additional Notes
- Forms apply at the block level only.
- Forms must be completed before video access is granted.
- Users only need to complete a form once per page if multiple blocks use the same form.
- Embedded video pages will still show the form overlay.
By following these steps, admins can collect detailed user data and enhance event engagement tracking.
