Goldcast recommends that videos for pre-recorded sessions be at least two minutes shorter than the session duration.
For example, if you have a pre-recorded session that is 60 minutes long, your total video length should be 58 minutes.
- If your video is longer than 58 minutes, attendees with slower internet connections may miss the last minute or two of the video due to video loading and buffering times.
- If your video is longer than 60 minutes, the video will be cut off at 60 minutes, and your attendees will miss the part of the video after the 60-minute duration.
- If your video is shorter than 58 minutes, there may be dead air at the end of the session, where your attendees will see your filler slide (or the Goldcast logo if you don’t have a filler slide).
