Table of Contents
The Video Library in Goldcast serves as a centralized hub for all your video content. This includes event recordings, sessions from the Recording Studio, uploaded assets, and clips published from the Content Lab. This article provides an overview of the updated Video Library experience.
Accessing the Video Library
To access your Video Library:
Log in to Goldcast Studio.
Click the Video Library tab on the left hand side.

Types of Videos Included
The Video Library aggregates video content from multiple sources:
Event Recordings
These are full recordings generated after any non-test live event concludes. They are automatically added to the library without requiring manual upload.
Recording Studio
If your team uses Goldcast’s Recording Studio to capture sessions (e.g., interviews, speaker content, product demos), the resulting videos are saved here for easy access and editing.
Uploads
Any videos uploaded directly into the platform—from events, the Content Lab, or within Pages—will be stored in the library and marked as “Upload” under the Source column.
Event Assets
Videos added specifically to an individual event (e.g., intro videos, sponsor ads) are collected here. These may differ from recordings in that they were uploaded manually, not recorded live.
Clips
Snippets created in Content Lab and explicitly published to the Video Library. These are typically shorter, highlight-style videos intended for reuse or promotion.

Filtering and Searching Videos
Use the following filters on the left panel to narrow your results:
Search Bar
Located at the top of the page, this allows keyword search by video title, helping you find videos by name or phrase.
Created By
Filter videos by the admin user who originally uploaded or created the asset. This is useful for tracking ownership or managing contributions across your team.
Events
Displays videos associated with a particular Goldcast event. Start typing the name of an event to refine the list to related content.
Tags
Use event-level tags (assigned during event setup or editing) to filter videos that share specific themes, departments, campaigns, or topics.
Series
Filter videos tied to an ongoing event series. This helps streamline content management for recurring webinars, product updates, or branded campaigns.
Workspaces
Narrow results based on what teams added the video content. Team admins will only see workspaces assigned to them.

Managing Videos
Each video in the library is displayed in a row, giving you access to multiple management actions:
Click to Open in Content Lab
Clicking a video row opens the file in Content Lab, where you can trim, brand, or enhance the video. Note: Event assets cannot be accessed or edited in Content Lab.
View usage with the “Power” Icon
This icon reveals where the video is currently used within Goldcast (e.g., embedded in an event or a page). Clicking the location opens the relevant area in a new browser tab, making it easy to update or cross-reference content.

Rename
You can edit the title of the video for better organization or clarity.
Download
Save a local copy of the video to your device for external use or backup.
Delete
If the video is no longer needed and deletion is permitted based on the source, you can permanently remove it from the library.
Preview
This allows you to play and review your video. It always plays the most recently published version
Uploading a Video to the Library
To upload a new video :
From the Video Library, click the Add Video button.
Select a file from your device using the file picker dialog.
The upload process will begin automatically. You’ll see a progress bar or indicator to track completion.
Once uploaded, the video will initially show a Processing status, then shift to Processing HD as the high-resolution version is prepared. You can begin working with the video immediately, and customization options (e.g., title, branding, trimming) are available later via Content Lab.
Using Videos in Events or Pages
Videos stored in the library can be easily reused across your Goldcast workspace:
In an event: When configuring a session or uploading a resource, click Add Video, then choose from the Video Library to insert existing content.
On a page: If you're building a landing page or recap experience, add a video block, then select your desired video from the library.
For on-demand sessions: Replace an event’s default recording with a different video (e.g., an edited version or branded clip) by selecting from the library.
Heads up! Even if a video is still processing, you can add it to events or pages. It will begin playing as soon as HD processing completes
Video Processing Status and Errors
The Status column provides real-time feedback on the availability and quality of each video:
Processing
The video has been ingested and is undergoing standard compression.

Processing HD
The platform is generating the high-definition version. This typically follows initial processing and may take a few minutes depending on file size.

Completed
Completed: The video is fully processed and ready to use across the platform.

Warning
The video is usable, but issues like background noise or poor lighting may affect viewer experience. A yellow alert will appear to flag this.

Error
Something went wrong during processing. The video cannot be used, and an error message will be shown to help you troubleshoot or re-upload.

Multi Team Workspaces
For accounts with multiple team Workspaces, users of any admin access level, excluding Organization Admins, will only be able to see videos within their assigned team workspace or those common across all Workspaces, such as content lab clips
Limitations
Non-English recordings or uploads: Content Lab editing tools are currently optimized for English-language only.
Note: Transcription and editing support for select European language are in closed Beta, with general availability expected in June.
