Goldcast Attendee FAQs

Q1: Where am I on Goldcast now?

A: Click AGENDA in the navigation beside the Stage. Select the session you want to join.

Q2: How do I get to the next session?

A: You will automatically be advanced to the next session of the track you are in. To join sessions in other tracks, simply navigate to AGENDA beside the Stage, and select the track you wish to join and enter the session.

Q3: What browser should I use with Goldcast?

A: Google Chrome works best with Goldcast.

Q4: My video/audio appears to be lagging, what should I do?

A: Below the Stage (where the speaker is talking), you will see a toggle on the bottom right. Click the toggle to enter the "lite mode," which may help elevate your video/audio issues.

Heads Up! Lite mode is only available for live sessions; it's not available for pre-recorded, RTMP-In and on-demand sessions.  

 

When viewing the event in lite mode, you'll not be able to use the Raise Hand feature to join the stage. 

 

Q5: Where is the Agenda?

A: The Agenda is available in the Agenda tab beside the Stage tab. 

Q6: How do I ask the speaker a question?

A: Post your question for a speaker to Q&A - and be sure to upvote your favorite question!

Q7: How do I change tracks?

A:To join sessions in other tracks, simply navigate to Agenda beside the Stage, and select the track you wish to join and enter the session.

Q8: Can I leave and join back the event/session?

A: Yes, you can always use the magic link to get back to the session.

Q9: Why can't I chat with other attendees?

A: The feature might not be turned on for this event.

Q10: Why aren't you sharing poll results?

A: The organizer may not choose to share them

Q11: Will the recordings be made available after the event?

A: The organizer can choose to share the recordings if they would like

Q13: Why is the chat disappearing after each session?

A: The chat feature is available only when a session is live. The chat ends when the session is over and new chat begins for the next session.
