Introduction
Goldcast's Run of Show (ROS) feature gives event producers a simple, centralized way to plan, manage, and execute live sessions. Instead of juggling Word docs or multiple backstage panels, you can now organize your entire event timeline directly inside Goldcast.
Why Use Run of Show?
Managing live events can be stressful. Before ROS, producers had to:
- Track the sequence of slides, polls, tickers, and videos separately.
- Navigate between multiple backstage panels to bring content live.
- Manually unshare one element before sharing another, creating delays.
With ROS, you can:
- Create a clear, ordered list of all event actions.
- Seamlessly bring content live/unlive with fewer clicks.
- Save time in setup and reduce stress during the event.
Key Features
- Cues – Add, edit, or remove cues (actions such as sharing slides, starting a video, or sending a ticker) in a single, organized list.
- Run of Show Notes – Insert text-based instructions as cues to guide moderators and speakers.
- Immediate Replace – Share a new element that automatically replaces what's currently live, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Permissions Control – Producers have full access, while coordinators and speakers are limited to viewing or specific actions.
- Saved Messages & Chat – Pre-save ticker messages or seeded chat messages to trigger during the session
Typical Use Cases
- Event Producers – Pre-organize the entire flow to minimize panic and save time.
- Speakers – Stay on track with stage directions, cues, and optional notes.
- Coordinators – Support producers by executing cues within their permissions.
