International Date & Time Formatting in Goldcast

How To Access on Goldcast Studio Platform

Platform Panel → Events → (open a desired event) → Edit Event

Introduction

Hosting events for global audiences comes with unique challenges—especially when it comes to how dates and times are displayed. Until now, Goldcast defaulted to U.S.-centric formats such as May 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM EST, which could be confusing for attendees in other regions. With the new International Date & Time Formatting Improvement, organizers can now ensure that event dates and times appear in formats familiar to their audiences, complete with localized month names, time zones, and support for both 12-hour and 24-hour clocks.

This enhancement improves accessibility, reduces confusion, and makes Goldcast events feel more native to international participants.

Step-by-Step Guide to International Date & Time Formatting

Follow the steps below to ensure your event’s schedule displays in the right regional format for your audience:

  1. Log in to the Goldcast Studio platform.
  2. Navigate to the Events module.
  3. Open the desired event.
  4. Click Edit Event.
  1. Select the primary language of your event. For example, English, French, Japanese, and so on. This determines the default formatting for dates and months.
  1. From the Date/Time Format (by Region) dropdown, choose the country where most of your audience is located. For example, UK, US, Australia, and so on. This ensures dates and times follow that region’s conventions.
  2. Click Save. Upon clicking this button, the international date & time format gets successfully updated on your event.

⚠️ Note on International Date & Time Display

  • The new formatting applies consistently across Registration Pages, Hub Pages, Agenda Cards, Event App, and Emails, so once you set your event language and region, everything updates automatically.
  • The Event App always shows times in the attendee's local timezone.
  • The Registration Page shows event local time in the Hero block, but Agenda cards include a toggle so registrants can switch between event time and local time.
  • By default, Emails, Hub Pages, and Agenda Cards display events in the local timezone of the organiser.
