Introduction

Goldcast gives producers more control over speakers during live events. With Speaker Stage Management and Microphone Control, you can move speakers onto the stage and unmute their microphones—without requiring any action from the speaker.

What’s New

Producers can now:

  • Push speakers directly to the stage without waiting for them to accept an invite.
  • Directly unmute a speaker’s microphone without prompting them.

These controls help you manage live transitions more smoothly and reduce delays during your event.

Configure Speaker Stage Management

Under Speaker Stage Management, choose how speakers are brought onto the stage:

  • Invite Speakers to Stage – Speakers receive a prompt and must click to join. Read more about moving speakers to the stage.
  • Push Speakers to Stage – Speakers are moved to the stage immediately, without any action on their part.

Configure Microphone Control

Under Microphone Control, producers can always mute speakers. You now have two options for unmuting:

  • Ask to Unmute – Sends a prompt to the speaker, who must click to unmute themselves.
  • Direct Unmute – Immediately turns on the speaker’s microphone without requiring confirmation.

Speaker Experience

When these features are enabled:

  • Speakers are informed when entering the event that:
    • They may be brought on stage at any time.
    • Hosts may mute or unmute their microphone at any time. Read more about muting a speaker on stage.
  • Speakers must consent to these permissions before entering the backstage area.

Once in backstage, both the producer and speaker can see each other.
