How to Make Your Goldcast Pages Searchable on Google

Learn how to optimize your Goldcast pages for search engines like Google to increase visibility and reach a wider audience.

Introduction

Goldcast registration, on-demand, and event hub pages are not indexed by default. While these pages are SEO-friendly, they are not automatically discoverable by search engines.

If you want your pages to appear in search results, you must take action to make them discoverable. This article describes the three supported indexing methods and explains how each one works.

Why Goldcast Pages Are Not Indexed Automatically

Goldcast does not control indexing for your website or your organization’s SEO environment. Because discoverability requirements differ widely between customers, Goldcast does not auto-index any event-related pages.

This means:

  • Your Goldcast pages will not appear in Google by default.
  • You (the client) must choose and implement an indexing method.
  • Goldcast Support can assist, but cannot guarantee how Google ranks or displays your pages.

These behaviors are expected and apply to all Goldcast registration, hub, and on-demand pages.

Indexing Methods You Can Use

You can make your Goldcast page searchable using one of the following three methods:

  1. Submit the page directly to Google Search Console (GSC).
  2. Add a backlink to the page from a URL that is already indexed.
  3. Add the page URL to your website’s sitemap.

All three methods help search engine crawlers find and index your page.

1. Submit the Page in Google Search Console (GSC)

Submitting a URL to Google Search Console (GSC) is the most direct method for requesting indexing—but the correct submission path depends on who owns the domain.

If the page is hosted on your domain (yourcompany.com)

You can submit the URL yourself in your organization’s Google Search Console property.

Steps for Client-owned Domains

  1. Open Google Search Console for your verified domain.
  2. Enter the Goldcast page URL in the URL Inspection field.
  3. Select Request Indexing.
  4. Google will begin processing the URL for indexing.

If the page is hosted on a Goldcast domain (for example, *.registration.goldcast.io)

You cannot submit the URL directly because you do not own or manage the goldcast.io domain in Google Search Console.

In this case, you must contact Goldcast Support, and the Goldcast engineering team will submit the indexing request on your behalf using the Goldcast-owned GSC property.

Expected Timing

Whether the request is submitted by your team (client-owned domain) or by Goldcast (Goldcast-owned domain), indexing typically begins within 1–2 business days, depending on Google’s crawl schedule.

When to Use This Method

  • You want a direct, authoritative way to initiate indexing.
  • Your page lives under a domain you control, or you prefer Goldcast to handle the GSC submission for Goldcast-owned domains.
  • You need a clear verification path that Google has received the URL.

Adding a backlink from an already indexed page to your Goldcast page is the fastest self-serve method.

Example

If your Goldcast event page is:

https://exampleorg.registration.goldcast.io/events/abcd1234

You can place either a visible or hidden link on any indexed page of your website:

<a href="https://exampleorg.registration.goldcast.io/events/abcd1234">Register for the event</a>
<a href="https://exampleorg.registration.goldcast.io/events/abcd1234" style="display:none;">Register for the event</a>

How It Works

  • Google crawls your existing indexed page.
  • It detects the link to your Goldcast page.
  • It queues the Goldcast page for indexing automatically.

When to Use This Method

  • You want an immediate, no-support, do-it-yourself option.
  • You manage your website’s content or CMS.

3. Add the Goldcast Page to Your Website’s Sitemap

You can include the Goldcast URL directly in your website’s sitemap (for example, sitemap.xml).

How It Works

  • Search engines frequently crawl sitemaps to discover new URLs.
  • Adding your Goldcast page to your sitemap increases the likelihood of fast indexing.

Example Sitemap Entry

<url>
  <loc>https://exampleorg.registration.goldcast.io/events/abcd1234</loc>
  <changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
</url>

When to Use This Method

  • Your organization already maintains a sitemap.
  • You prefer consistent indexing for multiple event pages.
  • Your SEO team controls your sitemap file.
