Upload a video
- To start, click the Upload button. Alternatively, you can click the New Content option from the dropdown.

- If you’re working in multiple team workspaces, select the desired workspace from the dropdown to assign the content to.
- Select Upload a file to browse for a file, or drag and drop a file onto the upload area. You can upload .mov, .mp4, and .mp3 files.

- Select Next. You don't need to wait for the upload to finish. The upload continues in the background, and the Uploading Video notification shows the progress.

- In the Select Clip Curation Preferences dialog, select a Brand Kit and a Target platform: Landscape (16:9), Portrait (9:16), or Square (1:1). Then select Save.

- Find your video under Recently Added. The video card shows its status: Processing, then Analysing.

Heads up! Initially, you might see a processing status on the video you uploaded. This indicates the video is being transcribed and getting ready for further edits.
- When the Ready to Edit notification appears, select Open Video in Editor.

What happens after you upload
The Ready to Edit notification means your transcript is ready. You can start editing the transcript and creating clips right away.
Content Lab continues to analyse your video in the background. The video card shows Analysing while this happens. When the analysis is complete, speaker and screenshare tracks appear on the timeline, and speaker layouts become available in the clip customizer. Until then, clips use the Original layout.
Note: Template selection isn't part of the upload process. After your video is ready, apply a template from the Templates tab in the clip customizer.

1. What’s the maximum file size I can upload to Content Lab?
Currently, the maximum size of an individual video or audio file you can upload to Content Lab is 5 GB.
2. What are the permitted file formats?
You can upload .mov, .mp4, or .mp3 files.
3. What happens when I upload an audio file?
You can convert your lengthy audio files like podcasts into short, snackable Audiograms that you can quickly share on your social media channels. You can also generate text posts, such as emails, blogs, social media posts, etc., from your audio files.
4. How do I remove an uploaded video?
Deleting removes the video and any previously generated clips and text posts. So proceed with caution.
- Select the uploaded video and click the Settings
icon on the bottom left.

- In the Settings drawer, click Delete Recording.

5. Why can't I select a template when I upload a video?
Detecting speakers in an uploaded video takes longer than processing the video and creating clips. To avoid delays, clips start in the Original layout. After your video is ready, you can apply a template from the Templates tab in the clip customizer.
6. Why don't I see speaker layouts right away?
Speaker layouts become available after Content Lab finishes analysing your video. The video card shows Analysing until the analysis is complete.
7. How do I know when my video is ready to edit?
The Ready to Edit notification appears when your transcript is ready. You can also check the status on the video card under Recently Added.
