How To Access on Goldcast Studio Platform

Platform Panel → Events → (open a desired event) → Edit Event → Recording

Introduction

The Recording toggle for Events gives organizers control over whether Goldcast captures session recordings for an upcoming event. This is useful when you want rehearsals or certain live sessions not to be recorded. The toggle must be set while the event is in Upcoming status; once an event is live or completed, the toggle is locked.

How It Works — Rules & Defaults

  • When you can change it
    • The recording setting can only be changed while the event is in Upcoming status.
    • Once the event is Live or Completed, the setting is locked and cannot be changed.
  • Defaults and behavior by Event type
    • Test eventsRecording toggle is locked and OFF by default. Test events are not recorded and are not monitored by Goldcast support.
    • On-demand eventsRecording toggle is locked by default because on-demand events are automatically recorded.
    • Non-on-demand eventsRecording toggle is accessible, and you can choose to turn the toggle ON or OFF.
  • Effect of turning recording off If recording is turned OFF for an upcoming event, no session recordings will be captured.
