How To Access On Goldcast Studio Platform

Introduction
The Video Overlays feature in Content Lab lets you place additional videos—such as b-roll, event footage, or product demos—on top of your main Recording Studio recordings or clips. This allows you to create more dynamic, polished, and engaging content without leaving the Content Lab editor.
Why Use Video Overlays?
- Enhance storytelling – Reinforce key points with supporting visuals.
- Add professionalism – Layer product shots, event highlights, or background visuals.
- Save time – No need to export and re-edit in complex video software.
Key Capabilities
- Upload Video Overlays – Add secondary video layers from your media library. Uploads support common formats like MP4, MOV, and AVI, with a file size limit of 100 MB.
- Resize and Reposition – Click and drag overlays in the preview canvas to adjust size and placement.
- Timeline Controls – Trim overlays by dragging block edges on the timeline, or move them to control when they appear.
- Audio Options – Choose to mute the overlay or blend its sound with the main track using volume controls.
- Style & Fit – Options to fill the canvas with an overlay or adjust opacity and borders for stylistic effects.
- Multiple Overlays – Add and stack more than one overlay, each on its own timeline track.
Step-by-Step Guide to Adding a Video Overlay
- Log in to the Goldcast Studio platform.
- Go to the Content Lab module, click Show all, and select the video you want to edit.

Note: To add video overlays for clips, navigate to the Clips section and follow the similar steps outlined below.
- Click Videos on the customizer menu to the right of the video.

- Upload your video overlay file. A loading indicator will appear until the upload completes.
- Once uploaded, the overlay will appear on the timeline as a new block and be displayed on the canvas at 80% size by default.

Next, click the video on the canvas to highlight the editing menu.

Notes and Limitations
- Only one video overlay upload at a time is supported.
- Ensure video overlays are under 100 MB for smooth performance.
- Video Overlays are available only for Recording Studio Recordings and Clips.
Fill Frame
Click Fill frame to fill the canvas with an overlay. For example, adding b-roll footage of a product demo during a keynote highlight.

Volume
Choose to mute the video overlay or blend its sound with the main track using Volume control.

Resize and Reposition
Click and drag the video overlay in the preview canvas to adjust size and placement.

Control Duration
Trim overlays by dragging block edges on the timeline, or move them to control when they appear.

Remove
Click the trash icon to remove or delete the video overlay from the recording.

Note: Once you finish editing your recording or clip with video overlays, don't forget to Publish your changes. Publishing ensures your overlays and edits are saved and reflected in the final version of your recording or clip.
