Supported Languages
Content Lab supports automatic transcription and editing for videos in the following languages apart from English.
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Italian
- Portuguese
- Dutch
Note: Videos must be recorded or uploaded in one of the supported languages listed above. Content in other languages or with no audio cannot be processed currently.
Video Transcription and Editing
How It Works
Content Lab automatically detects the language of your uploaded video or event recording. If the video or event contains spoken audio in one of the supported languages, transcript and AI clips will be generated in that language.
Content Lab now supports videos in multiple languages — with all the same features you get for English videos:
- View and edit transcripts in the original language (full video or clips)
- Download the full transcript
- Trim start or end portions of video using the editor
- Create clips directly from the transcript
- Brand clips by adding layouts, captions and more.
Auto-Generated Clips
Content Lab automatically generates AI-powered short clips in the same language as the video's original language and you can edit and style it as required.
To edit captions, click on Edit by Transcript or click on the Edit CTA on clip thumbnail.

Auto-Generated Text Assets
Written text content—such as auto-generated blog copy or social media posts—is not automatically created for non-English videos. These tabs will not have the auto generated assets but users can still leverage the AI feature to manually generate these assets.
How to Create Written Content in Other Languages
Customers can still generate written content in any language by using the AI prompt box. Make sure to specify in the prompt the language you’d like the content in.
Goldcast’s AI models support multilingual prompts and will generate content in the requested language.
⚠️ Important: Goldcast strongly recommends that users review and revise all AI-generated multilingual text before sharing or publishing.
FAQs and Troubleshooting
1. If I do not have the add-on, will I still be able to see uploaded or event recording videos in Content Lab ?
No, if this feature is not included in your plan then you will see the below message when you upload or access a Non-english video in Content Lab. However, full event recording will still be available in Recordings or Post Event section of Events in Studio.

2. I have a valid video in a supported language, but I can’t access it in Content Lab. What should I do?
If your video isn’t accessible, it’s possible there was an error during processing and the system couldn’t generate the transcript or detect the language. Please contact our support team — we’ll look into it and help you resolve the issue.
3. I have access to this feature, but I can’t access my existing event recordings in the supported languages. What should I do?
Currently, multi-language transcription is available for new videos processed after the feature has been enabled. Existing event recordings in supported languages will not have transcripts in Content Lab and hence cannot be repurposed. Please reach out to our support team if you’d like help with this.
