Introduction

Agentic Video Editor is a chat-based assistant that turns raw recordings into polished, short-form clips. Describe what you want—or pick a preset “recipe”—and the editor applies captions, trims, B-roll, music, and on-brand styling.

What You Can Do

• Conversational edits – Type instructions like Make the video clip more dynamic and add upbeat music.
• Recipes or presets – One-click styles that bundle common edits such as cuts, captions, music, and effects.
• Quick actions – Single-tap enhancements include adding captions, adding music, and highlighting keywords.
• Royalty-free B-roll & music – Relevant stock visuals and tracks auto-inserted. (B-roll powered by Pexels; music powered by Pixabay.)
• Call-out captions – Emphasize key phrases with large, on-brand text overlays.
• Branding – Uses your brand colors and styles for captions and motion graphics. You can manually add your logo in the editor.
• Non-destructive – Every Agentic Video Editor addition appears on the timeline; delete or tweak anything.

Step-by-Step Guide to Using Agentic Video Editor

The following are the steps to use the Agentic Video Editor in Content Lab:

1. Navigate to the Content Lab module on the Goldcast Studio platform.
2. Click Show all and open a video that you want to edit.

3. Click AI Edits to begin.

4. Review the Quick Actions, Recipes, and Suggestions available.
   1. Quick Actions – One-click options for applying specific edits.
   2. Recipes – Pre-built templates for common editing tasks.
   3. Suggestions – Additional options for applying specific edits.

5. Additionally, you can type instructions in the Prompt Field for the Agentic Video Editor to follow and click Start or press Enter on your keyboard. Then, the Agentic Video Editor will start processing your instructions and analyzing your video.

Once the Agentic Video Editor successfully processes the video, you can play the video or save the recipe for future reference.

Furthermore, everything added can be manipulated either through the Agentic Video Editor or manually. This means you can provide further instructions through the editor or simply click individual components to make manual edits.

Editing Capabilities 

The Agentic Video Editor (AI Edits) supports the following types of enhancements:

• Captions – Add captions to your video, with options to customize font, size, color, and positioning.
• Overlays – Insert image, video, or audio overlays to make the video more dynamic.
• Zoom Effects – Apply dynamic zoom effects to draw attention to specific areas of the video.
• Scene Changes – Automatically transition between speakers or different camera angles.
• B-Roll – Incorporate relevant stock footage or b-roll to enhance the visual interest.
• Background Music – Adds relevant music in the background to make the video more engaging.  

Saving Recipes 

If you've created a set of edits that you'd like to reuse, you can save them as a custom Recipe. To do this:

1. Apply the desired edits to your video.
2. Click the Save recipe. The Agentic Video Editor will automatically generate a name, tags, and a prompt for your recipe.

3. If desired, edit the name of your Recipe, add any relevant tags, and update the prompt.

4. Click Update. Your Recipe will now be available for future use.

1. What happens if I make manual edits to a video and then run the Agentic Video Editor? 
   The manual edits you've made will remain, but the Agentic Video Editor may adjust the positioning or styling of captions and call-outs.
    
2. Is the 15-video limit per year for individual videos or per project? 
   The 15-video limit is per individual user, not per project. Each user on your Goldcast account can edit up to 15 individual videos per year using the Agentic Video Editor.
    
3. Can I edit videos longer than 5 minutes using the Agentic Video Editor? 
   No. Currently, the AI Edits feature is limited to videos under 5 minutes in length.
    
4. What happens if I exceed the 15-video limit for my subscription? 
   If you need to edit more than 15 videos per year using the Agentic Video Editor, you can purchase an add-on to unlock unlimited usage. Contact your Goldcast account representative for more information.
